How to change your Google Play country

Important: You can only change your Google Play country or region annually. After you initially set up or change your Google Play country or region, you must wait 12 months before you can make another change.

  • To set up a new country or region, you must be in that location and have a payment method from the new country or region.
  • If you’re a member of a Google Family group, you can’t change your Google Play country or region.

Change your Google Play country

  1. On your Android device, open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Settings and then General and then Account and device preferences and then Country and profiles.
  4. Tap the country where you want to add an account.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment method for that country.
Tip: Your profile can take up to 48 hours to update.
