You can play movies and shows from another device on your TV with a Chromecast, Google TV Streamer (4K), or TV with Google Cast.

Cast videos with a phone or tablet
Important: Make sure your mobile device or tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast, Google TV Streamer (4K), or TV with Google Cast.
- Open a Google Cast-enabled app.
- Tap the Cast button

- Across all Google Cast-enabled apps, the Cast button isn't located in the same place.
- Select the device you want to cast to.
- When you're connected, the Cast button will turn solid.
- You can now cast videos, movies, and TV shows directly to your TV.
- To stop the cast, tap Cast button
Disconnect.
Tip: You can pause, rewind, or fast forward your video through the app or your device's notifications.
Playback tips
- HD movie rentals play in HD on Google Cast even if your phone isn't capable of HD playback.
- Google Cast continues to play your video when your phone or tablet runs out of battery. To access video controls again, connect another device to the Google Cast. To save battery, turn off your device’s screen during playback.
- If you're signed in to YouTube, make sure that you're signed in with the same Google Account.
