Using Google Wallet for purchases

To make purchases on Google Play, you’ll need a Google Wallet account. Google Wallet stores your payment information, transaction history, and is free to use.

If you haven't set up a Google Wallet account and you already have a Google Account or use Gmail, you can visit Google Wallet (wallet.google.com) to create an account. If you don't have a Google Account, you can easily create an account to use on Google Play.

Once you’ve created a Google Wallet account, you can sign in to Google Wallet and view recent transactions and add payment methods to your account.

Device purchases can only be placed using Google Wallet and cannot be purchased by fax, phone, e-mail, or purchase order. Virtual Credit Cards (VCC), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and transit cards can’t be used to make purchases on Google Play.
