Learn about instant apps

Google Play Instant Apps are Play Store apps you can open before requiring installation.  If you like the app you can download and purchase it if necessary from the Play Store. 

About Play Instant Apps 

  • An instant app will only start when you open it. 
  • If you have the the app on your device already, you’ll open the full version.
  • Instant apps do not cost anything to open and try. 
  • You can opt out at any time in your device's Play Store settings.

Opt in or out of Instant Apps 

You can choose whether you want to use Instant Apps. If you change your mind, you can change the setting:

  1. On your device, open the Settings app Settings.
  2. Go to Google Google Searchand thenInstant Apps.
  3. Under "Instant Apps account," select which account to opt in our out of. To opt out for all accounts, tap None.

If you do not see Instant Apps in Google settings, then it is not yet available on your device.

Tip: You may also want to go to your Account page to manage apps you have connected to your Google Account. Note that any information you shared with the developer is subject to the developer's privacy policy, so contact the developer if you wish to manage this information.
