If you need to update your Google Play developer account information, you can make changes using the Play Console.
Set up or change account information
Developer information shown to users on Google PlayIf your contact details, developer name, or physical address changes, make sure to update your information. Only the account owner can change developer profile settings. This information must comply with the Developer Program Policies.
Contact details
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Click All applications
.
- Select an app.
- On the left menu, click Store presence > Store listing.
- At the bottom of the page, type your contact email address or website. A contact email address is required to publish or update apps on Google Play. Your contact email address doesn't have to be the same account you use to sign in to your developer account.
- Save your changes.
Developer name
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Click Settings
.
- Next to "Developer name," type the developer name you want to be displayed on Google Play.
- Save your changes.
Physical address
To comply with consumer protection laws, developer accounts with paid apps or in-app purchases need to add a physical address to their accounts. If a developer account with paid apps or in-app purchases doesn't have a physical address, it may result in the account's apps being suspended from Google Play.
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Click Settings
.
- Under "Developer profile," type your address.
- Save your changes.
Contact information for suggested replies
To reply to user reviews using suggested replies, you need to add support contact information to include in them.
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Click Settings
.
- Under “Suggested replies for reviews,” type your contact information.
- Save your changes.
Only the account owner can change developer profile settings. Your contact email address doesn't have to be the same account you use to sign in to your developer account.
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Click Settings
. You'll be taken to the Account details page.
- Next to "Email address," type your information.
- Save your changes.
The account owner email address and country can't be changed. However, you can create a new account using a different email address or country and transfer your apps to your new account.
Accounts with published or unpublished apps
To transfer apps to a new account, go to our app transfer checklist.
Accounts without apps
If you haven't published any apps using your existing Play Console account, you can create a new account and cancel your existing account.
After you've created and linked a payments profile to your Play Console account, your linked accounts and payments country setting can't be changed.
If you want to change the payments profile linked to your developer account, you can create a new developer account and payments profile and link the new accounts.
Tip: Payments profile balances can't be transferred between accounts. If you have a payments profile with an outstanding or pending balance, it's a good idea to keep that account open until any remaining balances have been paid out.
Accounts with published or unpublished apps

Accounts without apps
If you haven't published any apps using your existing Play Console account, you can create a new account and cancel your existing account.
Set up your email notification preferences
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Select Settings
> Preferences. You'll see the email address where your app notifications and marketing emails will be sent.
- Next to "Your apps" and "Google Play," use the checkboxes to modify your settings.
- If you choose not to receive email notifications, you'll opt-out of optional marketing emails like new feature announcements and tips. We'll still send required emails, like mandatory service announcements, to the email address associated with your developer profile.
- If you use the Play Console app, you can set up your mobile notification preferences within the app.
Tell us more about your role
If you tell us how you use the Play Console, we can send you email notifications most relevant to your work. For example, if you select Marketing as one of your roles, we might send you tips related to user acquisition.
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Select Settings
> Preferences.
- Next to "Your role," check the box(es) that best describes how you use the Play Console.
- Save your changes.
By sharing data about which features you use and how you use them, you can help us personalize your Play Console experience and improve the services we provide.
Play Console personalization data includes:
- Play Console features you interact with
- Actions you take, like when you view, dismiss or enable a feature
- A timestamp of when you interact with features
- The developer account you're logged into
- The platform you're using to access the Play Console (web, mobile app, or other source)
- The language you're viewing on the Play Console
- The package name you're viewing
Turn off Play Console personalization
When you turn off Play Console personalization, we will no longer connect your Play Console personalization data with your developer account.
To turn off Play Console personalization:
- Sign in to your Play Console.
- Select Settings
> Preferences.
- Go to the "Privacy" section and uncheck the box next to "Personalization."
Change account password
- Go to Sign-in & security.
- Click Password.
Tip: If you're having trouble signing in to your account, go to Google Account Recovery.

Delete a developer account
If you haven't published appsIf you haven't published apps and want to delete a developer account or transfer all your apps to another account, you can contact our support team. Deleting a Google Account will not automatically delete your developer account.
If you've published apps using your developer account and want to delete your account, you'll need to:
- Sign in to your original account to backup or download your information before requesting an account deletion. If you delete a Play Console account, you won't be able to use it anymore.
- Contact our support team to transfer your apps to another account.
- Reply to the app transfer confirmation to close your existing account.
Notes:
- If you want to use the same developer name on a new account, you'll need to change your developer name on your existing account to a different name. Developer names can't be identical.

Deleting a Google Account will not automatically delete your developer account.
