I broke my Pixel Watch screen, but it simply cannot ever be replaced ?

I dropped my watch the minute I got it out of the box and the screen cracked (obviously not under warranty).

I contacted Pixel Watch support in order to figure out how to buy a replacement screen, and they told me that I cannot have Google repair my watch at any price.

Does that mean that cracking the screen of your watch will cost the price of the watch ? I find it hard to believe.

What should I do ? I'm already heartbroken but this is rough :D

Perhaps the credit card that you used will have some sort of accident coverage.

For everyone else reading this - PLEASE buy some sort of accidental damage insurance for your watch!

I just want to second what Jim recommended above. Purchasing electronics with a credic card that has extended warranty protection has been a blessing in disguise. Some even extended the warranty up to 2 years in US and even more outside US.
