Fix a dock connection issue during Pixel Tablet setup

If you have a Charging Speaker Dock and attach your Pixel Tablet to it during setup, you might get a notification that something went wrong. Here are a few things you can try to help resolve this issue.

Important: To dock your Pixel Tablet or use Hub Mode, you need a Charging Speaker Dock. You can purchase the Pixel Tablet with or without a dock, or purchase a dock separately.

Detach and reattach your tablet from the dock

  1. Detach your tablet from the charging dock.
  2. Re-attach your tablet to the charging dock.

Plug your dock into a different power outlet

  1. Check that the power cable is securely plugged into your dock.
  2. Verify that another power outlet in your home works and then plug the dock into it.

Plug your tablet into a power outlet with a cable

  1. Remove your tablet from the charging dock.
  2. Plug your tablet into a wall outlet with a USB-C cable and power adapter.
  3. Verify that your tablet is charging.
  4. Unplug your tablet from the wall outlet.
  5. Reattach your tablet to the charging dock.

If your tablet charges with a cable but not when it's attached to the dock, there might be a problem with your dock.

Restart your tablet

If the above solutions don't work, try restarting your tablet.
