If you have questions or feedback about your card, contact your bank.
Get a "Network error" when you add a card
Make sure your phone is nearby. Your phone and watch should have Bluetooth turned on and an internet connection (either cellular or Wi-Fi).
Card was automatically removed
For your security, cards added to Google Pay on your watch are deleted when your screen lock is removed. To re-add your card, open Google Pay on your watch, add a screen lock, and then add your card again.

1. Make sure watch is on tight and unlocked
Tap the screen to find if Google Pay asked you to unlock your watch. If so, unlock it before you pay.
2. Make sure Google Pay app is open
Just before you pay, open Google Pay on your watch and make sure you can see the card you want to pay with on the screen.
3. Hold your watch at the reader longer
Try to hold the NFC on your watch over the reader until it beeps and your watch vibrates.
You can also try to hold your watch against the reader in a different position. This helps because your watch talks to the reader using NFC (Near Field Communication). Most watches' NFC antenna is behind the screen but check your watch's manual for the exact location.
4. Make sure the store accepts contactless payments
Ask the cashier if the store accepts contactless payments. If they don’t, you need to use a physical card.
Set Google Pay as your default for payments
- On your watch, open Settings.
- Go to "Connectivity," or "Connections," section.
- Tap NFC.
- Ensure Google Pay is selected as your payment provider.
