Viewing your video history
Watching multiple cameras at the same time
The Nest app for Android TV takes advantage of your television’s large screen to display up to four camera streams in one view.
If you have two cameras in the same home: you can watch the video streams from both your cameras at once. This is the default view for the app’s home screen, so all you need to do is open the Nest app and start watching.
If you have three or more cameras in the same home: from the home screen, press/swipe left until you can select All Cameras.
In the All Cameras view, your home’s cameras are displayed in groups of four. If you have more than four cameras, click/swipe left and right to cycle through the groups.
Note: The cameras need to be in the same Nest home. If you have three cameras, but two are in your first home, and one is in another home, you won’t be able to view all three at the same time.
Learn about viewing clips from your video history
Clips aren’t currently available in the Nest app for Android TV. Instead, you can view your saved clips on a computer at home.nest.com.
Note: There is a way to watch clips on your television with Android TV, but it takes a couple extra steps. First, share the clips to a video service like YouTube. Be sure to make the clips private if you want to limit who sees them (for example, see Google.com: change the privacy settings for YouTube video). Then open the corresponding app on your Android TV (like the YouTube app) to watch the clips on your television.
View Nest Protect status
If you have a Nest Protect that needs attention, an icon will appear on the Nest app home screen. Open the Nest app on your phone to address the notification.
Note: If you have more than one home in the app, press/swipe to switch homes to see if Protects in other homes need attention..
How to switch to another Nest home
If you have more than one home in your account, you can switch between them.
On the home screen of the Nest app, press/swipe left until you see the menu showing your homes. Select a home to view its cameras.
