Delete, save or find a photo or video on your Pixel phone

You can delete, save or find a photo or video with Google Photos on your Pixel phone.

Delete photos and videos

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
2. Sign in to your Google Account.
3. Tap and hold a photo or video that you want to move to the bin. You can select multiple items.
4. At the top, tap Bin .

Important:

• If you delete a photo or video that’s backed up in Google Photos, it'll stay in your bin for 60 days.
• If you delete an item from your Android device without it being backed up, it'll stay in your bin for 60 days.
• If you see a photo or video in Google Photos that you think you deleted, it might be on a removable memory card. To delete it, use your device’s gallery app.

Download your photos or videos

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
2. Select a photo or video.
3. Tap More   Download.

Find your photos and videos

When you turn backup on, your photos will be stored in photos.google.com. Learn how to check your backup settings.

To find your photos:

1. Open the Google Photos app . 
2. Tap Photos.
