Product Shopping ads allow you to include an image, title, price, and your store or business name inside your ads, without the need for you to create unique ads for each product you sell.
The information in your ad comes from the product data you provide us in your Merchant Center account. You can also opt into other Google services, like Merchant Promotions and Product Ratings, to enhance your ads in other ways.
The appearance of Shopping ads may change as we experiment with the best display options for the format. This could include automatic cropping of your image to focus more on the product. You can opt out of this feature by contacting us.
Enhancements for your ads
You can use these enhancements to draw attention to your ads in other ways. When you opt into an enhancement, it won't necessarily display every time your ad shows.
“Special offers” with Merchant PromotionsWith Merchant Promotions, you can use a promotions data feed to distribute your online promotions with your ads. Online promotions show along with Product Shopping ads as "special offer" links and require no additional cost, though cost-per-click pricing still applies. Product reviews provide critical information to shoppers making purchase decisions and help advertisers drive more qualified traffic to their sites. To help shoppers easily find this information, we now show product ratings on Shopping ads in eligible countries. Product ratings show on Shopping ads with a 5-star rating system and a count of total reviews. These star ratings represent aggregated rating and review data for the product, compiled from multiple sources, including merchants, third party aggregators, editorial sites and users. A product must have at least 3 reviews in order for product ratings to be eligible to show on Google.com. Find out how to show product ratings on your Shopping ads.
Google Customer Reviews is a free service that enables you to collect valuable feedback from customers who’ve made a purchase on your site. Your customers can choose to take a survey to rate their experience with just one click on your checkout page. Ratings from customer surveys apply to seller ratings eligibility and, optionally, to Product Ratings eligibility. Find out how to participate in Google Customer Reviews.
