About Google Ads not running due to account issues

If your account is suspended, or if you’ve a billing issue on your account, you won’t be able to run your ads until the problem is resolved. Keep in mind that if other campaigns in your account are running, you don’t have to check on the status of your Google Ads account.


What to do when Google Ads isn't running due to account issues

Account suspensions

Use Google's Suspended account tool to automatically check your account status.

Billing issues

Check your account budgets if you pay by monthly invoicing. All ads in your account stop running if your total campaign costs reach the designated amount in the account budget before your set end date. Learn more about how to Create an account budget.

Check the “Billing Summary” or “Transactions” pages of your Google Ads account for declined payments. Your account may stop running until the outstanding balance is paid.
