You can upgrade to Gemini Advanced, which is part of the Google One AI Premium paid plan that also includes:

Gemini Advanced is far more capable at highly complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning, following nuanced instructions, and creative collaboration. With Gemini Advanced you can:
- Get access to Gemini 1.5 Pro with a 1 million token context window. This means you can analyze, explore, and understand documents of up to around 1,500 pages.
- Upload files to the Gemini web app to get answers, summaries, and insights about your content. Learn how Google works with your uploaded files.
What you need
- Gemini 1.5 Pro is currently available in more than 35 languages and over 150 countries and territories. It’ll be available in more languages in the future.
- The availability of Gemini Advanced in any specific Gemini app is also limited to the supported languages and countries of that app.
- Gemini Advanced isn’t available to users under 18 and for work or school accounts.
- To access Gemini Advanced features with a work or school account, your administrator must enable access to a Gemini Business, Gemini Enterprise, or Gemini Education add-on. If you’re a Google Workspace administrator, learn how to enable access for Gemini.

Upgrade to Gemini Advanced
To upgrade to Gemini Advanced, subscribe to the plan in Google One.
- Go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu .
- At the bottom, tap Upgrade to Gemini Advanced.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Tip: When you subscribe to the plan, you’ll need to select or provide a form of payment. Learn how to manage your Google payment info.
In the Gemini mobile apps
- On your Android phone, open Gemini .
- At the top, tap your Profile picture or initial Upgrade to Gemini Advanced.
- Tap Start trial.
- If you already have a Google One subscription, tap Upgrade.
- Review the plan info and select a payment method.
- Tap Subscribe Go to Gemini Advanced.
If Gemini Advanced doesn’t show in your Gemini mobile app:
- First, try to switch to Gemini Advanced in settings.
- If that doesn’t work, restart the app.
Choose Gemini or Gemini Advanced for a chat
When you have access to Gemini Advanced, you can choose to use either Gemini or Gemini Advanced for a chat. A chat can only use one. If you switch between Gemini and Gemini Advanced in an existing chat, it automatically starts a new chat.
In the Gemini web app
- Go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Gemini or Gemini Advanced.
- Select what you want to use for the chat: Gemini or Gemini Advanced.
Tip: You can check if a chat uses Gemini or Gemini Advanced at the top.
- On your Android phone, open Gemini .
- At the top, tap your Profile picture or initial Settings.
- Turn Advanced responses on or off.
- To use Gemini Advanced, turn it on .
- To use Gemini, turn it off .
Tip: A chat that’s using Gemini Advanced shows “Gemini Advanced” at the top.
Change your Google One plan
If you signed up via the Play Store:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google One app .
- At the top, tap Menu Settings .
- Tap Change membership plan.
- Select your new storage limit.
- To add more storage: Select a plan under "Upgrade options."
- To find smaller storage plans: Tap Downgrade options.
- If there's no downgrade option, you're on the lowest plan.
- To confirm the new plan price, tap Agree.
- Select your payment method.
- Tap Subscribe.
Cancel your plan
You can cancel your plan in Google One settings.
- Go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu Settings Manage subscription. This opens Google One settings, where you can cancel your plan.
- Tap Cancel membership Cancel.
When your plan ends, you’ll no longer have access to:
- Gemini Advanced. You won’t be able to:
- Start new chats with Gemini Advanced
- Continue chats created with Gemini Advanced
- Use features that are only available on Gemini Advanced
- These benefits from Google One:
- Expanded storage across Drive, Gmail, and Photos
- Direct support from Google experts
- Exclusive member benefits
- Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and more
