- Search for your food or create a custom food.
- Enter your information and tap Log.
To scan food:

- On Android phones, make sure you allow the Fitbit app to access requested features on your phone. For more information, see What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?
- Tap the barcode icon and place your item's entire barcode in the scanning area. If your item is in our database, you'll see a summary. Otherwise, you'll see the option to submit it.
- Adjust the quantity and tap Log.
- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click Log at the top, then click Food.
- Under Food Log, enter your information and click Log Food.

Note that this feature is available on certain Fitbit devices. If your Fitbit device doesn’t have calorie information, check it in the Fitbit app.
- Swipe up from the clock face to see your stats.
- Find the Food tile. You may have to swipe up to find it. If you don’t see the Food tile:
- Versa, Versa Lite Edition, and Versa 2—Tap Settings at the bottom of your stats and make sure the Food tile is turned on.
- Sense and Versa 3—Tap Manage at the bottom of your stats and make sure the Advanced Stats widget is turned on.
- To see calorie details:
- Versa, Versa Lite Edition, and Versa 2—Swipe left on the food tile to see your caloric intake, calories remaining in your food plan, and your macronutrients breakdown by percentage.

Sense and Versa 3—Tap the Food widget to see your caloric intake broken down by meal, and your average for the week.
- Tap the Today tab
, then tap Food.
- Under Today, find your daily macronutrients breakdown.
- Swipe the graph see your macronutrients breakdown (percentages of carbohydrates, fat, and protein you consumed) over the past week.
- Tap the expand icon to see details about your macronutrients, then tap a day to see details. Tap the icon again to close.
Note that this feature is available on certain Fitbit devices. If your Fitbit device doesn’t have macronutrient information, check it in the Fitbit app.
- On Versa, Versa Lite Edition, and Versa 2, swipe up from the clock face to see Fitbit Today.
- Find the Food tile. You may have to swipe up to find it. If you don’t see the food tile, tap Settings at the bottom of Fitbit Today and make sure the Food tile is turned on.
- Swipe left on the Food tile to see your macronutrients breakdown by percentage.
Note that you won't see your macronutrients breakdown if you log calories instead of specific foods.

- To delete today’s entries, swipe right on the entry you want to delete and tap Delete.
- To delete older entries:
- Tap the day that contains the item you want to delete.
- Tap the three dots
Delete Log.
- In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab
, then tap Food.
- Tap the entry that includes the item you want to delete.
- Tap and hold the entry you want to delete, and tap Delete item.
- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click Log at the top, then click Food.
- Under Logged Foods, hover your cursor over the item you want to delete, then click the x icon that appears.
