  • Teaching and Learning Upgrade editions

Teachers can use Classroom Resources to create, edit, or delete:

  • Practice sets
  • Interactive questions for YouTube videos

Create a resource in Classroom Resources

In Classroom, you can create practice sets or interactive questions for YouTube videos in Classroom Resources. Resources you create can be used in future assignments.

Create interactive questions for Youtube videos
  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Optional: To expand the navigation drawer, at the top left, click Menu .
  3. On the left, click Resources .
  4. Click New video activity .
  5. To find a video, you can either:
    • Search YouTube
    • Paste a YouTube URL in the search bar
  6. Click Add questions. You can then create, edit, or delete interactive questions for YouTube videos.
  7. Click Done.

Tip: To collapse the menu, at the top left, click Menu .

Create a practice set
  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Optional: To expand the navigation drawer, at the top left, click Menu .
  3. On the left, click Resources .
  4. Click New practice set .
  5. Add questions to your practice set.
  6. Click Done editing.
Tip: To collapse the menu, at the top left, click Menu .

Edit a resource in Classroom Resources

  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Optional: To expand the navigation drawer, at the top left, click Menu .
  3. On the left, click Resources .
  4. Select a resource you want to edit.
    • To edit a practice set:
      1. At the top right, click Edit .
      2. Update the resource details.
      3. Click Done editing.
    • To edit a video activity:
      1. Update the resource details.
      2. Click Done.

Tip: To collapse the menu, at the top left, click Menu .

Delete a resource in Classroom Resources

  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Optional: To expand the navigation drawer, at the top left, click Menu .
  3. Click Resources .
  4. At the bottom right of a resource you want to delete, click More  and then Delete .
  5. Click Delete.

Tip: To collapse the menu, at the top left, click Menu .

Restore a deleted resource in Classroom Resources

  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Optional: To expand the navigation drawer, at the top left, click Menu .
  3. Click Resources .
  4. Click Trash.
  5. Optional: To filter for types of files, click the dropdown, then select the resource type you want to use.
  6. Click on the file you would like to restore.
  7. Click Restore.

Tip: To collapse the menu, at the top left, click Menu .

Make a copy of a resource in Classroom Resources

  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Optional: To expand the navigation drawer, at the top left, click Menu .
  3. On the left, click Resources .
  4. Under “My resources,” at the bottom right of a resource you want to copy, click More and then Make a copy Copy invitation link.

Tip: To collapse the menu, at the top left, click Menu .

Share a resource in Classroom Resources

Only verified teachers can share links to resources with each other in their Google Workspace domain. Learn how Workspace Admins can verify teachers and set permissions.

  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Optional: To expand the navigation drawer, at the top left, click Menu .
  3. On the left, click Resources .
  4. At the bottom right of a resource you want to share, click More  and then Share link .
  5. Turn on Allow teachers to access via link .
  6. Click Copy link .
  7. Send the link to another verified teacher.

Tip: To collapse the menu, at the top left, click Menu .

Edit or assign shared resources

Only verified teachers can edit or assign resources shared with them. Learn how Workspace Admins can verify teachers and set permissions.

  1. Open the resource with the shared link.
  2. To edit or assign, at the top right of a resource, click Make a copy Copy invitation link.
    • Click on the copy saved in "My Resources."
    • Copies save in "My Resources."

Tips:

  • When link sharing is off, you can't preview or make a copy of a resource.
  • If you have a resource open when share permissions change, you can preview the resource, but can’t copy it. When you refresh the page, the resource is unavailable.
  • If you share a resource with an account in a different language, the resource stays in your language.
  • To minimize the menu to a collapsed version, at the top left, click Menu .
