Manage Google Ads sitelinks

Apply or remove Google Ads sitelinks from campaigns or ad groups

Google Ads campaigns inherit sitelinks from the account if the following conditions are met:

  • The sitelinks are set up to be account-level sitelinks.
  • The campaign allows sitelinks to display.
  • Sitelinks aren't directly applied to the campaign. Directly applied sitelinks override the account-level inheritance.

You only need to apply sitelinks to a campaign or ad group if sitelinks aren’t set up to be inherited from the account, or if you want to override the inheritance in a campaign and display different sitelinks.

Account-level sitelinks can also be directly applied to campaigns and ad groups.

Apply or remove sitelinks from Google Ads campaigns and ad groups

  1. Navigate to the campaign or ad group where you want to directly apply or remove sitelinks.

You can apply them to campaigns or ad groups again at a later time or leave them unused.

Learn more about editing multiple campaigns, see the steps in Edit campaigns or ad groups in bulk.

Once you start a bulk edit for a large group of items, Search Ads 360 may need some time to apply the edits. In the meantime, Search Ads 360 does not start applying other bulk edits that you might start in the engine account, or bulk edits that were scheduled to start, until the current edit is finished. That is, there can only be one active bulk edit per engine account at a time.

A line above the reporting table displays the progress of the bulk edit. If needed, you can attempt to cancel the edits. It's possible to cancel a bulk edit while objects are being sent to the engine; click More details to display the Bulk operations page and see which edits were fully processed before cancellation. However, if you click Cancel too late in the process, Search Ads 360 will finish all the edits.
