Embed PDF without preview left hand side

Hi, I have embeded a PDF hosted on Google Drive into our site, however the width of the site does not allow for the preview screens ont he left and the main document to all be displayed side by side. I havent been able to find an option which removes or minimizes the preview docs on the left hand side.Is this even possible?

Kind Regards
Ritz

No, I don't think so, but many people have asked for it.

It's a real pain. I to used to rely heavily on embedding pdf's this way for our village web site but they suddenly changed it to this (naff) preview that you are seeing and now all the previously embedded files look terrible on the site.

It's not as good as Google Docs used to be but I have started relying on scribd.com, which does what we want.  For example, the document here is done using Scribd - http://www.kingsleyvillage.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1009&Itemid=65
It's not as nice as Google Docs used to be but a lot nicer than it is now!

Quite why Google insist on going backwards I don't quite get, other than to stop us doing this, and I wish they would at least admit that somewhere/answer our queries...

My reason was a little different but I found a workaround that does what I need.  You can decide if it is worth the trouble for you.

Host a Website on Google Drive - ProfHacker - The Chronicle of Higher Education (http://chronicle.com/blogs/profhacker/host-a-website-on-google-drive/46737)

That shows how to turn a Gdrive folder into a website. Publicly visible.  Once you do that, each file in the folder has a standard url.  (https://googledrive.com/host/0BwQz2X2f_63IMnB5a3dQQkJCMnM/bulletin.pdf) Then you can use whatever you wish to display the file.

Security issues are sure to exist.

I have met the same problem, my solution is:

<iframe src="http://xxx.pdf&embedded=true" style="width:600px; height:500px;" frameborder="0"></iframe>

http://xxx.pdf  is for your pdf address. When you open the file in google drive, you would find it on the top of the page.

It works for the pdf preview without left side staff.

Yes the little slide pictures are being vertically listed on the left side of the frame.
returning back to the begining is annoying.
why google do this?

dear google hear us: please help us

i think it has a really easy solution but the solution is closed to me.

but in the drive page on the title that i want to share; when i right click and choose share there were an embed code area but this new drive has not got. they changed it.
so did they (google side) decide to stop being previewed on seperate sites? did they decide to not to host slide files for this purpose?
