How do I add new font styles to Google Drive?

I would like to add additional fonts to Drive.  I can use them in holiday Christmas crafts.

Hi, Diane,

It's not possible to add custom fonts to Google Docs. That's because Docs is a web-based app and uses only special web-based fonts (not local fonts). You can add more web-based fonts to Docs by following these instructions:

How to Add Fonts to Google Docs
1. Go to the fonts drop-down menu.
2. Select "More fonts" at the bottom.
3. Make sure "Show all fonts" is selected at the top.
4. Look for the font you want in the fonts list.
5. Click on the font you want to add it to the "My Fonts" list at the right.
6. Click the blue OK button to close out the box.

Still, not all Google fonts are listed or are directly available in Docs. However, you can obtain additional Google fonts in Docs by using the add-on Extensis Fonts. You can get it by going to Add-ons (in the tool bar) > Get add-ons and then searching for it by name.


Once you find it, just press the blue Free button to add it to Docs. You can then access it by clicking on Add-ons in the tool bar to display all the add-ons you have.

Levels

Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:

  • Post an answer.
  • Having your answer selected as the best answer.
  • Having your post rated as helpful.
  • Vote up a post.
  • Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
