Cannot download document file as PDF

Documents created in Google Docs can no longer be downloaded in PDF or any other format.  Have tried in Chrome, Foxfire and IE8. Created a new document, same problem.  File-->Download file as-->pdf  The task bar will show Waiting for docs.google.com and then nothing happens.

I have seen the same issue also.    I can't even download them as Openoffice, PDF nor Word.

I hope Google realize this problem soon.

Good thing I am not the only one seeing this.

If I try to manually export (via file list), I get a real error message:

We were unable to download this document because of this error:

Sorry, that file is corrupt, or an unknown format.

This error message comes from the converter we're using, and hopefully tells you what you need to know to fix the problem.

I think it's connected to the print preview problem, and printing problem.  do you have the same thing?

Also, Jim's (vidanuevatx) solution is also valid. There's no point in reiterating that you got the same exact error as the person from 10 posts up.

Levels

Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:

  • Post an answer.
  • Having your answer selected as the best answer.
  • Having your post rated as helpful.
  • Vote up a post.
  • Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
