Broken Hyperlinks to Google Docs on Canvas LMS

I am having an issue accessing public hyperlinks to Google Docs in my schools learning management system, Canvas. All of the shared links appear to be broken, although I can access them on other online platforms.

Hi Alexandra,

Welcome to the Google Docs Help Forum, and thanks for posting.

Per your post, it looks like you are unable to access some link from the Google Docs file. I recommend trying the steps below, this might help in fixing the issue:
  1. Reload the Google Docs file.
  2. Please check your network connection settings.
  3. Run a check on your device's software updates.
  4. Try clearing the cache and cookies of the browser.
  5. Switching to incognito window might fix this issue.
  6. Sometimes, certain plugins and extensions interfere in the functionality of the Google Drive, disabling plugins and extension may help.
  7. Reset your Chrome settings.
  8. Run Chrome Cleanup Tool, to remove software that may cause Chrome to experience issues.
  9. You may also try using a different browser or operating system. Here's a useful article with information about browsers and operating systems which supports Google Drive.
Also, I noticed that you are using a Google for Education account. In case the above steps don't help, I recommend posting in the Google for Education Help Forum. They are the best to help you with Google for Education account.

Let me know if you have any questions.
