How to retain latex info when downloading google doc containing equations?

We appreciate the latex capabilities of google docs, but until we get full interoperability with MSWord, we can't use gdocs for final formatting of our manuscripts.

Google docs has a nice latex-based equation editor.  However, when we download a word copy of the file, the equation morphs into a non-editable picture.

This video clip illustrates the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTTqORTyotM

The question is, how can we convert gdoc to msword while retaining the ability to edit the equations?

  • Having your post rated as helpful.
  • Vote up a post.
  • Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
