In order for Google ad data to populate in Ads Data Hub, the Google ad platform accounts managing the data must be linked to the Ads Data Hub account. Account linking requests originate in the ad platform and are sent to Ads Data Hub. Data begins populating in Ads Data Hub after the link is approved.
The basic process for linking accounts is as follows (note that these steps might be performed by different users, as in the case of an advertiser granting a vendor access to their ad data):
- Initiate a link request from the Google ad platforms you want to link.
- Approve the link via either the Ads Data Hub UI or API.
- Sign into your Campaign Manager 360 account.
- Navigate to your Advertiser. (The advertiser must be a parent account.)
- Open the Floodlight Configuration tab.
- Click Ads Data Hub > Link new account.
- Enter your Ads Data Hub account number or the account number you want to share your Campaign Manager 360 data with. (The account name is automatically populated after the link is approved.)
- Click Save.
- Approve the link via either the Ads Data Hub UI or API. Once the account is successfully linked, you’ll see confirmation in the status column.
Partners or Advertisers
- Sign into your Display & Video 360 account.
- Navigate to Settings > Linked accounts.
- Click Link new account > Ads Data Hub.
- Enter the account ID. (The account name is populated automatically.)
- Click the checkbox next to the Floodlight authorization.
- Optionally, select the checkbox to share audiences created in Ads Data Hub with this Display & Video 360 partner or advertiser.
- Approve the link via either the Ads Data Hub UI or API. Once the account is successfully linked, you’ll see a checkmark in the linked accounts page.
Note: Deleted Ads Data Hub accounts and Ads Data Hub accounts that are pending deletion are not available available for linking to Display & Video 360.
Enable Ads Data Hub measurement for YouTube buys in Display & Video 360
- Enable your advertiser and provide a vendor client ID: Contact support to enable third-party measurement for your advertiser. You’ll need to provide the vendor client ID for each measurement type for each vendor you’d like to enable. The vendor client ID is provided to you by the third-party partner.
You can verify the vendor client ID by navigating to Advertiser settings => Basic details => Additional settings => Third-party measurement services => YouTube measurement vendors => select vendor and view a vendor client ID.
- Enable measurement on line items: Once third-party measurement is enabled for your advertiser, you’ll be able to set it on individual YouTube & partners line items. Navigate to Line item details => Additional settings => Third-party vendors => select vendor for viewability and/or brand safety (and add the optional reporting ID).
