Passbacks

The use of Google Publisher Tag passbacks in third-party creatives is discouraged, as all requests should be made by the SDK. If you need a DFP passback, please use the SDK mediation creative with a DFP ad unit ID.

MRAID and JavaScript library

MRAID is an industry standard API for rich media ads running in mobile apps. It enables the creative to perform several native actions such as expand to full screen. With DFP, you can target specifically for MRAID v1 or MRAID v2. Learn more

Additionally, the GMA SDK offers some methods in the JavaScript library to create a rich media experience.

Creative destinations

With mobile creatives, you can interact with the users’ mobile device, triggering actions and applications for an enhanced user experience. This allows for various creative destinations such as link to app store and phone calls.

High-density creatives

You can serve higher density versions of creatives to mobile devices that have high density displays. Simply use the “Density” dropdown when creating the line item and select 1.5x density or 2x density as needed. Learn more

Optimize creatives for multiple screen sizes

DFP doesn't resize creative assets. For example, DFP wouldn't enlarge a 320x50 creative to fit in a 350x50 slot. To ensure that appropriate creatives serve in different screen sizes, we recommend requesting for Smart Banners and uploading several different creatives for each line item. This allows DFP to choose the creative to serve for any given screen size.

If you want to create one responsive creative, you could also use Media queries via CSS to check the screen width, height, and device pixel ratio.
