Use content bundles for targeting

Only available in Google Ad Manager 360.

Content bundles are targetable groups of videos that you can assemble based on filters or by selecting individual videos, or both. Bundles are automatically updated as new metadata that matches their criteria is ingested.

Example

You could create a content bundle called "Kittens" based on a combination of metadata and manually added videos, and then target ads for cat toys to that bundle.

Create content bundles

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Use filters to search for video content.
  3. Click Add to bundle and either choose an existing bundle or New bundle.
  4. Enter a name and click Save.

Edit content bundles

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Video and then Content and then Content bundles.
  3. Click on the name of the bundle to edit.
  4. To edit or remove specific videos under "Included" bundled content, click on Manually Included or Included via bundle rules.
    1. Select the checkbox next to the video you'd like to edit.
    2. Click Exclude from bundle or Remove from included.
  5. To remove specific videos under "Excluded" bundled content, click on Manually excluded.
    1. Select the checkbox next to the video you'd like to edit.
    2. Click Remove from excluded.
  6. To edit the filtering rules for the bundle:
    1. Edit or add rules that determine which videos are included in the bundle. Note that as you change rules, the count of matched content is updated in real time.
    2. Make changes to which content is explicitly included or excluded.
  7. Click Save.

Target line items to content bundles

You can target audio and video line items to content bundles. Under the "Add targeting" picker, select Video content and then Content bundles. Click  to include content from a bundle or  to exclude content.

Workflow for include/exclude content bundles

If overlap exists between your included and excluded content bundles, only the included content that is not excluded will be targeted.

Report on video content bundles

When you create a report for video, you can include the "Content bundle" dimension. Your report shows all bundles where the content appeared, not only the targeted bundles.
