Advanced settings for supervised users

When managing a supervised user on the supervised users dashboard, you'll notice that access restrictions you set up for a host (such as google.com or www.google.com) are not shared by other subdomains (such as mail.google.com or drive.google.com). Similarly, country-specific domains (such as www.google.de or www.google.co.uk) don’t share the restrictions you’ve configured for the main domain (www.google.com).

Allow or block sites across multiple domains

  1. Open the supervised users dashboard.
  2. Click Manage in the "Permissions" section.
  3. Select All of the web or Only specified sites under "Allow" to edit Blocked sites or Allowed sites.
  4. Insert [*.] before the domain name (e.g. [*.]google.com). This will match drive.google.com and calendar.google.com). For country-specific domains, insert [*.] after the host (e.g. www.google.[*]).
