Advanced settings for supervised users
When managing a supervised user on the supervised users dashboard, you'll notice that access restrictions you set up for a host (such as google.com or www.google.com) are not shared by other subdomains (such as mail.google.com or drive.google.com). Similarly, country-specific domains (such as www.google.de or www.google.co.uk) don’t share the restrictions you’ve configured for the main domain (www.google.com).
Allow or block sites across multiple domains
- Open the supervised users dashboard.
- Click Manage in the "Permissions" section.
- Select All of the web or Only specified sites under "Allow" to edit Blocked sites or Allowed sites.
- Insert [*.] before the domain name (e.g. [*.]google.com). This will match drive.google.com and calendar.google.com). For country-specific domains, insert [*.] after the host (e.g. www.google.[*]).
