Sign in or out of Chrome

When you sign in to Chrome, your info is saved to your Google Account so you can get it whenever you need it.

What happens when you're signed in

  • You can see and update your synced info on all your devices, like bookmarks, history, passwords, and other settings.
  • If you change devices (like if you lost your phone or got a new laptop), you'll get all your info back.
  • You'll sign in automatically to Gmail, YouTube, Search, and other Google services.
  • Your experience in other Google products is personalized by including your Chrome history with your Web & App Activity.

Signing in to the Chrome app is different from signing in to a website.

Note: Only sign in to Chrome with devices you trust. If you're using a public computer, use guest mode instead of signing in.

  4. Confirm by clicking Sign out.

Sign out remotely

You can remove your account from a device, even if you don't have it with you.

To sign out of any device, go to this list of your recently used devices. Select a device, and remove your account access.
