The information below is for the new version of Google Calendar. If you use the old version, sign in to Google Calendar and then refresh this page.

Create an event

You can create Google Calendar events from your computer or device.

Create an event

  1. Open the Calendar app Calendar.
  2. Tap Create Create.
  3. Tap Event Event.
  4. Start typing in a title for your event. You'll often see suggestions – choose one or keep typing.
  5. Tap Done.
  6. Edit event details like the date, location, time, event visibility, and who's invited. If you don't share your calendar, you won't see visibility settings at all for your event.
  7. Optional: If you have more than one calendar and want to change which one you're adding the event to, go to the top and tap the calendar name.
  8. Tap Save.

Tip: You can also create events by finding an empty time on your calendar. Just switch to a view with an hour grid, like Day view, and then double-tap an empty time.
