About the menu editor

Restaurants can list their menu items on their Business Profile on Google. This feature is available to food and drink businesses.

How the menu editor works

In Business Profile or on Google, you may find an option to add menu items, along with their descriptions and prices. To keep your menu organized, group items into sections, such as appetizers, desserts, and main courses. It can take 24–48 hours for your changes to display on Google Maps and Search.

When customers find your Business Profile, they can find your menu items listed under "Menu."

Important: If you have a menu provided by the Business Profile API, you may not have this feature in Business Profile or Google Search.

Manage the menu sections or items on Search & Maps

Important: If you want to update a menu across multiple Business Profiles, you must do so with Business Profile API. To get started, you need API access. Learn more on the API support page

When you’re done with your updates, you get a notification:

  • If your updates didn’t have any issues, you get: “Your menu has been updated. The updates will be published shortly.”
  • If there are issues with your updates, you get: “Something went wrong. Please try again.” If you get this notification, try to make your updates again and wait 24 hours. If you get the same error message, contact our Support team.
