Create an AI-powered business description

You can quickly create an engaging, AI-powered description for your business. The business description section of your Google Business Profile helps potential customers learn more about your business, including products or services you offer and what makes your business unique.

If you already have a business description, you can still use AI to suggest a new description based on info from your business website and Business Profile. You can review and edit the suggested description.

Important: AI-powered business descriptions are currently available for select regions and languages and may not be available for all users. You must be 18 years of age or older and comply with the Google Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy to use this feature.

How to create an AI-powered business description

Important: This AI feature writes creative text. You should review for accuracy and update as needed.

1. On your computer, go to your Business Profile. Learn how to find your profile.
2. Click Edit profile Business information About.
3. In "Description," you can either:
   • Click Suggest description.
   • Write a description and click Suggest description.  
   • Tip:  If you don't see this option the feature may not be available for you yet.
4. A suggested description for your business shows. To get different options, click Try again.
5. To apply the suggested text to your business description, click Use.
   • If needed, edit the text.
6. Click Save.

Tips for this feature

1. Ensure your Business Profile is up to date - this feature uses info from your Business Profile to suggest a description of your business. Update your Business Profile to include your latest info for better suggestions.
2. Add more details about your business - you can add details about your business to the description field and AI will use this info when it generates a suggestion. For example, you can write your own description and use this tool to offer suggestions to improve it. 
3. Review for accuracy - this tool can help you save time and write a description for you, but you should review it for accuracy before you update the description for your Business Profile.

You can let us know if you get a suggestion you like or if you get one that you feel is unsafe or inaccurate. Your feedback can help us improve this feature.

To give feedback, below the generated text:

• For a good suggestion, click Thumbs up .
• For a bad suggestion, click Thumbs down .
  1. If you click Thumbs down, in the banner that opens on the right, click Report an issue.
  2. Click Edit business information.
  3. Describe your issue.
  4. Click Send.
