Read web pages or use a screen reader

On your Android phone or tablet, you can ask your Google Assistant to read web pages out loud.

Important: For now, this feature isn't available in all languages or countries.

What you need

• Android 5.0 or above
• The Assistant language set to "English"
• The Google app, version 10.96 or above

Ask your Google Assistant to read a web page out loud

1. On your Android phone or tablet, go to a web page with Google Chrome , the Google app , or the Google News app .
2. Say "Hey Google," then say a command. For example:
   • "Read this page."
   • "Read it."
   • "Read aloud."
