I have this issue but am wired. Plug in phone to usb and screen on car i black. My Spotify though will auto play. Have disconnected phone and reconnect multiple times. Somtimes that reaolves but other times doesn't. Have to shut off car, restart phone but just random troubleshooting sometimes works.

My wireless android auto worked until recently in my 2022 Ford F150. Now I can only get to work by connecting a cord to the system. When I ask it google to navigate to a location it responds but does not load the map.

Same issue as well. Have sent bug reports and waiting for an update as this is very inconvenient and frustrating. Problem appears to happen more frequently.

I too experience this issue 2017 Miata with wireless carplay OnePlus 9 on latest Android 12 with latest Android auto apk from a couple days ago. 8.1.223544

Note when I get the black screen if I overide android auto and go to Mazda audio then back to applications and redisplay android auto I have about 70% chance of it displaying and operating normally

Is anyone else still experiencing the issue of wireless android auto dropping connection with the new 8.0 version? Unfortunately it is still happening for me.

I'm also experiencing this issue for months.

Sometimes Android Auto shows up for a few seconds, then it suddenly freezes and disconnects, and when I try to reconnect my car says "Couldn't connect to Android Auto, please try again or use the cable", after a few tries it connects successfully and stays working.

I'm using a Galaxy S10 with the latest software available.

same issue with 2020 fusion and samsung s22+ will just randomly disconnect have tried all the fixes have read about( i think) and still doing it now is doing even faster than was prior to trying the fixes

Pixel 7 user, all updated. I get the black screen and audio is linked for nav and music so it's either hard to hear directions or the music is loud. Happens with wireless

Pixel 7 Pro all updated, Android Auto version 8.4.624324-release, connecting wirelessly. Everything seems to work fine (Google Maps, YT Music, Messages, Chat, Calls, Assistant) however randomly while running GMaps Navigation and YT Music, the AA Car Display will freeze and become non responsive. My Infotainment system still works. I can exit and relaunch AA, but it'll be a non responsive black screen. Music and turn by turn navigation sound still works while AA Car Display is non responsive.
