Update to Political content policy (October 2023)

In October 2023, Google will update the India election ads policy under the Political content policy.

Ads run by commercial entities solely for commercial purposes that feature a political figure who is a ​political candidate or current member of the Lok Sabha or Vidhan Sabha as defined in the India election ads policy. will not be required to submit pre-certificates from the Election Commission of India. Commercial entities running these ads can submit a letter of exemption on your official letterhead in place of a pre-certificate in this form.

Please note that even if ad pre-certificates are not required, advertisers wishing to run India election ads must be verified by Google.
