Google uses continuous reviews and feedback from users, regulators, and consumer protection authorities to help identify products and services that are prone to abuse and user exploitation. Google Ads may limit or stop ads from businesses that pose an unreasonable risk to user safety or experience, even if they comply with other policies.
On this page
Soliciting funds or donations is allowed only on behalf of a politician, political party, or tax-exempt charity. The ad’s destination must clearly state that donations are tax-exempt, or disclose a charity number or a tax exemption number.
Declare your tax exempt status
If your ad or your ad’s destination solicits donations that are tax-exempt, please clearly state that donations are tax-exempt, or disclose a charity number or a tax exemption number on the ad’s destination, or the specific donation page linked to by that destination.
In the United States, organizations that have 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) status from the IRS are automatically considered tax exempt. Clearly state your 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) status on the ad’s destination or the specific donation page linked to by that destination to ensure compliance with this policy.

Appeal policy decision
If you believe there’s been an error and that you haven’t violated Google Ads' policies, appeal the policy decision directly from your Google Ads account to request a review. If the review determines that your ads are compliant, they can run again. If you aren't able to fix these violations or choose not to, remove your ad to help prevent your account from becoming suspended in the future for repeated policy violations.
