Can I use Google Adsense and Google Adwords together for the one website? Is it allowed?

Can I use Google Adsense & Google Adwords together for the same website? Is it allowed?
I am asking this question because I have heard that Google banned the adsense accounts that were using Google adwords & Google adsense for the one website. So is it allowed?

Well, it's not prohibited, but only allowed under certain restrictions regarding landing page quality. Most people get it all wrong and have their accounts disabled for unwanted arbitrage, that's right. From your question alone I doubt your site would be suitable to use Adwords to promote it and at the same time run Adsense on it ...

And how is that related to this thread's discussion on "Can I use Google Adsense and Google Adwords together for the one website"?
