In-feed ad FAQs

Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about native In-feed ads:

How many In-feed ads can I place on my page?
As long as your ads don't exceed your content, you can place as many In-feed ads (and/or other types of ad) on your page as you want. Learn more about our inventory value policy.
Does the term "feed" refer to RSS feeds?
No. For the purposes of In-feed ads, "feed" does not refer to web syndication feeds such as RSS. For more information, see: What is a feed?
What should I do if my feed looks different on mobile compared to desktop?
In-feed ads are responsive which means they automatically adjust their size and ad settings for the device they're being viewed on. However, if your feed styles are different on mobile versus desktop, we recommend that you create separate In-feed ads, one for each screen size.
How many In-feed ads can I place in one feed?
You can place multiple In-feed ads in your feed, but we recommend you have at least three content blocks between each ad. If you want to place more than one ad in your feed you can either create multiple In-feed ads or place the same In-feed ad code multiple times in your feed.
How can I find out the size of the images in my feed?
You can use your browser's developer tools to work out the size of your images. For more information, see: How to determine the size of the images in your feed.
How does AdSense calculate the width of my In-feed ad?
The width of an In-feed ad is always equal to the width of the feed container it's inside.
How does AdSense determine the height of my In-feed ad?
The height of an In-feed ad is automatically adjusted by AdSense to ensure that all of the ad's elements fit well in the available space.
Are there any size restrictions for In-feed ads?
There is one size restriction: the width of your In-feed ad must be at least 250 pixels.
Why do display ads sometimes appear instead of In-feed ads?
You can choose to also show display ads inside your In-feed ad units. Showing both types of ads can help to increase your revenue. You can turn this option off in the "Global options" of your In-feed ad settings.
Can I review In-feed ads in the Ad review center?
Yes. However, because In-feed ads are native ads they will appear with standard rendering in the Ad review center and not exactly as they appear on your site.
