Common AdSense payment hold issues

This is an article about why your AdSense account may have a payment hold. It discusses reasons such as submitting tax information or verifying your identity.

To resolve an issue, you can check your AdSense payments page for alerts. The alerts will tell you what steps you need to take.

You haven't submitted your tax information. If your payment address in a country that Google requires certain tax information, you must submit this information to Google.

Your identity hasn't been verified.

Your address hasn't been verified. See how to request a personal identification number (PIN) in the post, and then enter the PIN to verify your payment address.
A form of payment hasn't been set up. See the minimum payment method selection threshold, and then set up your form of payment.
There is a self-hold on your account. If you've chosen to pause your AdSense payments, remove the self-hold to begin receiving payments again.
Note: You may also find payment holds for some other payments-related issues. If your payments are on hold, you'll notice an alert on your 'Payments' page. Click the alert to find out the steps that you need to take to remove the hold and become eligible for payment.

policy Compliance holds

Reason Steps that you can take
A compliance hold exists on your account that requires you to provide information to confirm your identity before payments can be made. If you've received a request from the Google Payments team asking you to verify your personal information, you can go to your Google payments centre and follow the steps in the alert.
Your account is currently under review for compliance with the AdSense Programme policies.

All accounts are monitored for policy compliance and invalid activity. At times, while your account is under investigation, your payments will be temporarily placed on hold.

If you've received this alert on your AdSense 'Payments' page, you don't need to take action.

This hold is automatically removed at the end of the investigation if your account is policy compliant and your traffic is valid.
