What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics is one of the many products available through the Firebase platform. It's a free-of-charge, unlimited mobile and web app analytics solution that's available to AdMob users. When you link your AdMob app(s) to Firebase, Google Analytics and AdMob can share data to improve app monetization and user engagement as well as offer enhanced reporting capabilities.

Why link to Firebase?
Link your AdMob app(s) to Firebase so that you can use your linked Google Analytics account data in AdMob. To use your Google Analytics or Google Analytics for Firebase data in AdMob, your Firebase project must be linked to your Google Analytics or Google Analytics for Firebase account. Learn how to link your apps to Firebase.
Use the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK in your AdMob apps
By integrating the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK in your AdMob apps, you can take advantage of other features from Firebase and Google Analytics to further improve app monetization and user engagement.
Complete the following steps to implement the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK in your apps:
- Enable user metrics.
The user metrics toggle will be discontinued in late 2023. Learn more about this change.
- Link your AdMob apps to Firebase.
- Add the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK to your app. Once the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK is successfully added to your app, you can immediately start using Analytics.
Benefits of linking to Firebase and using the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK

The user metrics toggle will be discontinued in late 2023 and no longer available for linked services. To continue collecting user metrics, you can link your AdMob app to Firebase and integrate the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK into your app.
If your app is already linked to Firebase in AdMob and has the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK, this change will not affect you. Learn more about this change.
