Link your Google Ads account

To access the AdMob campaigns feature, you’ll need to link a Google Ads account. AdMob campaigns help you create house ad campaigns to cross-promote your apps or set up direct sold campaigns to sell ad inventory to an advertiser.

You must have administrator or account management permissions in AdMob to link your AdMob account to a Google Ads account.

To link your Google Ads account:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://admob.google.com.
  2. Click Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Linked services tab.
  4. In the "Manage account links" section, click Expand in the Google Ads row.
  5. Click the toggle to link to a Google Ads account.
  6. Select the Google Ads account from the dropdown.
Note: The dropdown includes all of the Google Ads accounts that you are able to link to AdMob. If you can't find the correct Google Ads account, you may not have the required permission in Google Ads. You must have either standard or administrative access in a Google Ads account in order to link to it AdMob. Also note that you can't link to a Google Ads manager account (MCC).
  7. Click Link account.

If you’ve been invited to share an AdMob account, you may need additional permissions to access the campaigns feature. Learn more about accessing campaigns as an invited user.

Access AdMob campaigns

You must link a Google Ads account to your AdMob account to use the campaigns feature. Additionally, you must also ensure that you’ve submitted your current billing information in Google Ads.

In the Linked services tab, you can check the status of your Google Ads account link.

If the status is Set up incomplete, it could be due to the following:

  • Your Google Ads account does not have your current billing information
  • Your Google Ads account billing information is expired
  • Your Google Ads account budget is expired
