US state regulations settings

Applicable to the following US states:
  • California
  • Virginia
  • Connecticut
  • Colorado
  • Utah
You can use Privacy & messaging to manage the settings related to how ad requests originating in the US states with specific privacy legislation are processed
Ensure you've added the Google User Messaging Platform SDK to your app to enable it to gather consent.

To manage your US state regulations settings in Privacy & messaging:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Privacy & messaging.
  3. Click US state regulations. Use the options on this page to manage your US state regulations settings. 

Available settings

The following settings are available for US states within Privacy & messaging:

  • Restrict data processing: Choose whether you want to show personalized ads or non-personalized ads to eligible users in the applicable US states.
    This setting will apply to users in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah, USA.
  • Select ad partners: Select the ad partners (formerly "ad technology providers") you want to use to serve ads to users who are subject to eligible users in the applicable US states.
  • Manage restricted data processing via ad requests: You can restrict data processing at an ad request if you don’t want to restrict data processing across your account.
