Set up performance alerts (Beta)

This feature is in Beta
Features in Beta phase might not be available in your network. Watch the release notes for when this feature becomes generally available.

You can create performance alerts to be notified about data changes that are important to you.

Performance alerts are sent via email, and are unique to each user. Multiple users wanting to receive the same performance alert should each set one up.

Create a new alert

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Reporting and then Performance alerts and then New alert.
  3. Next to "Alert name," enter a meaningful name.
  4. Next to "Metrics," click Expand, select a metric, and then:

    1. Select a threshold, such as Greater than.
    2. Enter a threshold value, such as 1000.
Alerts are based on daily performance data. For example, if you configure an alert to be sent for greater than 1000 impressions, the alert represents the impressions that were delivered yesterday.
While this feature is in beta, alerts are only sent for days that traffic is received. No alert is sent if no impressions were delivered the previous day.

You should continue to monitor important line items to ensure they are delivering.

  5. Next to "Dimensions," click Expand and select a dimension for which you'd like to receive alerts.
  6. (Optional) Add one or more dimension filters to only receive alerts for specific performance data within the dimension you've selected.

If you select a dimension without adding a filter, the alert applies to anything included in that dimension (for example, any line item or any country).

    Example

If you choose the Line item dimension and add a filter for "Country" is any of "United States", Ad Manager scans all traffic in the United States for any line item that meets the alert threshold.

You can click Remove to remove a filter.

  7. Click Save.

Edit an existing alert

You can review and edit your performance alerts. You can turn your existing alerts on or off.

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Reporting and then Performance alerts.
  3. Choose an option:

    • To edit an alert, under "Name," click the alert, make your changes, and click Save.
    • To turn an alert on or off, under "Status," click Expand and then select Active (On) or Inactive (Off) for the alert.
