Someone has been using my email address and spamming me

Someone has been signing me up for foreign tours of places outside the United States. As well as emails saying thank you for signing up with quotes for things costing $56,000.

I haven’t clicked on unsubscribe or or anything along those lines.

Changed my gmail password. My bank account hasn’t been hacked.

How can I stop these emails from coming? Some are in English some are not. All seem to be from outside of the United States. For example, Asian tours, South Africa, etc.

I will have to close this email account if I continue getting these emails

And just as an example of how accounts have been taken over for some time despite 2FA:

Regarding a hack or scam Google only provides this:

Important, because the very last option:
If your Google-Account includes a YouTube-Channel, read here too:
In this case, you should address a tweet to @TeamYouTube on “X” (formerly twitter) as soon as possible!
