Take the new Security Checkup. Strengthen the security of your Google Account in 2 minutes.

Manage your Brand Account

You can set up and manage a special kind of account for your business or brand, called a Brand Account. You can use certain Google services, like Google+ and YouTube, with this account to create an online presence.

How Brand Accounts work

How Brand Accounts differ from regular Google Accounts

You and others can jointly manage a Brand Account through your own Google Accounts. You don't need a separate username or password for a Brand Account.

A Brand Account can have multiple owners and people who manage it.

Google services that support Brand Accounts

You can use certain Google services with your Brand Account. These services include:

  • Google+
  • Google My Business
  • Google Photos
  • YouTube

These services can help your business or brand communicate, connect, and share important information with customers and fans.

To manage who can see and interact with your content, adjust each service's settings.

Create a Brand Account

If you haven't already, create an account for your business or brand on one of these services:

View your Brand Accounts

See your Brand Accounts
  1. Go to your Brand Accounts page in My Account.
  2. You'll see a list of your Brand Accounts.
  3. To see details and options, select an account. From here, you can manage the account and go directly to the Google services it uses.
Switch between accounts in services

You can easily switch from one account to another in Google services that support Brand Accounts.

To switch accounts on a browser, like Chrome or Safari:

  1. Go to the Google service you want to use, like plus.google.com.
  2. On the top right, select your profile image or initial.
  3. From the menu, choose the account you'd like to use. (Note: If your Brand Account doesn't show up, the service might not support Brand Accounts.)

You can also switch accounts in some Google apps on your phone or tablet. The steps to switch accounts vary by app.

Make changes to your accounts

Edit basic information

You can add, change, or remove basic information about your business or brand. Changes you make here take effect across Google services.

  1. Go to your Brand Accounts page in My Account.
  2. Choose the account you want to edit.
  3. Select Edit account info. The account's "About me" page will open.
  4. In the section you want to change, select Edit Edit.
    • On the bottom right, you might also see Add Add. Select this option to add more information.
  5. Add, change, or remove the information you want.

Tip: You can also go directly to About me and switch to your Brand Account.

Change who manages an account

If you're an owner of a Brand Account, you can add people to help manage the account. You also choose each person's role to decide how much control they have over the account.

Delete an account

You can delete a Brand Account only if you're an owner. This action will delete all the account's content across Google services. If you change your mind, you might not be able to restore the account's content.

  1. Go to your Brand Accounts page in My Account.
  2. Choose the account you want to delete.
  3. Select Delete account.
  4. Read the information carefully and agree to the terms.
  5. Select Delete account.

Restore an account

If you recently deleted an account, you have about 2–3 weeks to try to recover it.

  1. Go to your Brand Accounts page in My Account.
  2. Select Deleted accounts.
  3. Next to the account you want to restore, select Restore Restore.

The restored account will show up in your list of Brand Accounts.
