Problems registering a domain through Google

Fix payment issues if you’re trying to buy or have bought a domain through Google while signing up for G Suite or Google Cloud Identity.

Purchasing a domain through Google

I'm asked to verify my domain, but I can’t

When you buy your domain during sign-up, the purchase and service activation can take up to 24 hours. During this time, you might see a message asking you to verify your domain, but verification happens automatically after the payment goes through.

It’s been more than 24 hours since I bought my domain

Contact your financial institution and make sure your primary payment method is authorized to make the purchase.

You can also try and purchase your domain directly from a domain registrar. If you do, you’ll need to manually verify your domain ownership for G Suite or Cloud Identity.

My payment failed

If your payment failed, you need to purchase your domain separately, and then manually set up your account:

  1. Purchase your new domain directly from a domain registrar.
  2. Verify your domain ownership for G Suite or Cloud Identity.
  3. Set up G Suite or Cloud Identity.

Renewing a domain registration

My domain registration expires soon

You have a few renewal options—for example, you can set your domain to autorenew. See Manage domain registration renewals.

Also, before the renewal date, make sure your primary payment method is valid.
