Prevent users from receiving Google+ posts or content
When a Google+ user mentions someone in a post using the ‘+’ sign, post content such as the image and message are sent to the person being added.
You can easily prevent your G Suite users from receiving such messages, however, by disabling the Google+ service for your organization. This prevents your users from receiving any invites, images, or other content shared by Google+ users.
For example, if a Google+ user adds someone to a post, the following occurs:
- If the email is a G Suite account, but the Google+ service is disabled, no messages or images are received.
- If the email is a G Suite account, and the Google+ service is enabled, the person will get a notification along with any images.
- If the email is not from a G Suite account, the person gets an email inviting them to join Google+, along with the embedded image.
To ensure that your G Suite users do not receive any invitations, posts, or images from Google+ users, disable the Google+ service for your organization.
