If Google Currents is enabled, when a Currents user mentions someone in a post using +mention, post content, such as the image and message, are sent to the person being added.
If you don't want your users to receive such messages, you can disable the Currents service for your organization. This prevents your users from receiving any invites, images, or other content shared by Currents users.
For example, if one of your Currents users adds another one of your users to a post, the following occurs:
- If the Currents service is disabled for the user being added, the user will receive no notifications that they've been added to a post.
- If the Currents service is enabled for the user being added, the user may receive a notification that they've been added to a post depending on their notification settings.
To ensure that your users do not receive any invitations, posts, or images from Currents users, disable the Currents service for your organization.
