If Google+ is enabled, when a Google+ user mentions someone in a post using the ‘+’ sign, post content such as the image and message are sent to the person being added.
If you don't want your G Suite users to receive such messages, you can disable the Google+ service for your organization. This prevents your users from receiving any invites, images, or other content shared by Google+ users.
For example, if a Google+ G Suite user adds another G Suite user to a post, the following occurs:
- If the Google+ service is disabled for the user being added, the user will receive no notifications that they've been added to a post.
- If the Google+ service is enabled for the user being added, the user may receive a notification that they've been added to a post depending on their notification settings.
To ensure that your G Suite users do not receive any invitations, posts, or images from Google+ users, disable the Google+ service for your organization.
