Google Duo has transitioned to Meet for video meetings. As an administrator, you can turn off Duo features for your users, but we recommend you keep them on.
Use Meet for all video meetings
Users who go to Duo on the web are directed to meet.google.com/calling.
Turn off non-compliant features
Duo is not yet compliant with Google core service requirements. To prevent users from accessing non-compliant features, you can turn off access to Duo for your organization. Turning off access to Duo will also prevent people in your organization from using all other additional services (those without an individual on/off switch). However, users can still access Duo features with a personal account.
To turn off access to Duo, go to Manage access to services that aren't controlled individually.
Turning off Meet affects former Duo users
Turning off Meet turns off Duo Calling, now named Calling in Meet, even if the additional services switch is on. This action turns off all Calling in Meet accounts and users will lose all of the data associated with those accounts. That data cannot be recovered.
