YT Music still doesn't support playing uploads/playlists via Assistant/Home/Auto voice commands

Seems like previous posts about this have been removed with the update regarding Google Assistant, but Youtube Music Team has still not stated they will be supporting playing personal playlists and uploaded songs via Google Assistant or similar devices.

Without this, Android Auto, Google Nest Home, Google Assistant and any other voice controlled device becomes significantly less useful.

This needs to be supported before shutting down GPM, otherwise, you are just making the service significantly worse with no benefits to the end user considering all the other basic features missing on YT Music compared to GPM.

Many of you have asked for YouTube Music to be better integrated with other third-party apps and services, and our teams are working to bring these to you. You can find a recap of recently launched integrations at our forum: https://yt.be/help/kpmz I suggest you also subscribe to this post – this is the place where we'll announce new integrate launches as and when they happen!

Confirm: the Echo Dot (g3) + Plex works as well as, or perhaps better, than Google Play Music did with the Home Mini.

I'm not sure what the business model is for either company.  A smart speaker with no screen and playing your own library doesn't give them much opportunity to sell you stuff.  It should be noted that Amazon stopped allowing you to upload your library quite some time ago.

Why do I need Premium to play my playlist from my phone? Everytime I ask Android Auto to play my playlist, which I have on my phone (btw they were already there from Google Play Music, but now I have to download them again), Youtube Music tells me I need Premium to do that, I don't want Premium as I don't want to stream music. I can manually play it via the car screen, but not if I ask it to play, talk about backward step in car safety.
Also where is the Music store, I do want to be able to purchase music again.

This seems to be working now. "Play blahblah FROM MY LIBRARY" is playing my uploaded stuff. Sometimes I don't need to say "from my library", but the full command gets best results. Full disclosure: I am currently subscribed, but I saw someone on Reddit say that it worked for them without a subscription. Give it a try!

Ahh. . . . works.

Play <artist | album-name | playlist | track-name> from my library.

Still can't upload .wma files.

I cancelled my subscription. Switched to Spotify used an app called Soundizz to import my google play music and youtube music playlists into Spotify. Spotify works even better with my Nests than google music and works with routines also.
Hit them where it hurts  cancel.

Only works partially here in Canada (for free account at least)

It will now play an artist or album from my uploads but won't play any personal playlists from my library.
Not sure why they are holding that part hostage. Getting fed up with this service from Google.

Hey, I'm on free plan and this worked like a charm!
I also tried saying "play Music/random Music from my library" but I had no success. Someone knows if this works or do I have to create a playlist with all my uploaded songs?

"We know many of you have asked for the ability to play your uploaded music using voice commands as well – our teams are working on this and hope to make this feature available to YouTube Music listeners some time next year!" - WHY would you force users to change app to another player that has nowhere near the features of the previous app (google music) my family and I listen to music in my car and on my home devices using voice commands which is totally broken now and every time I ask to play a track THAT I OWN it tells me to subscribe - WHY DO I NEED TO PAY MONEY TO LISTEN TO MY OWN MUSIC AND WHY IS IT GOING TO TAKE MONTHS FOR A FEATURE THAT USED TO WORK SEEMLESSLY. YOU WOULD THINK WITH THE BILLIONS THAT GOOGLE HAS THEY COULD HAVE GOT THE APP RUNNING RIGHT BEFORE FORCING PEOPLE TO MOVE - I HAVE SYCED ALL MY MUSIC ACROSS BUT WHEN I GO INTO SEARCH IT ONLY SHOWS RANDOM LETTERS TO CHOSE FROM WHEN IT SHOULD BE EVERY LETTER OF THE ALPHABET - I CANNOT USE THIS WHEN DRIVING AS I WILL LIKELY CRASH - ALL MUSIC SHOWS USING A BROWSER ON PC BUT NOT IN THE APP - IM ON GLAXY S10 WITH APP AND PHONE FULLY UPDATED - VOICE COMMAND SHOULD BE "PLAY ..... FROM MY UPLOADS" - VERY POOR PERFORMANCE GOOGLE

This is such a cluster F*$& of a program. I don't want to be using my data to stream youtube movies everytime I want to listen to the f^&*%ing music I already own but can't get to. If I'm driving I have the choice of either staring at my phone in order to play music or pulling over just to change a song because the voice assistant keeps asking me to unlock my phone and sign up for a service I don't f(^%ing want.

Come on Google. Can we get a solid answer on when YTM will do what it promised with playing our music?
When will this defect be remedied?

I transferred all my 100's of albums and playlists from GPM two months ago on the promise that you advertised would be a seamless transition with the same functionality. The only result has been "Not available on YTM or can't be played right now".

I hope this isn't some sort of dubious scheme to force people to pay a monthly fee to access their own music. I have no intention of paying for my own music when there are alternate providers and other third party integrations available at no cost.  Instead, I will just be forced to eliminate and ignore all things Google now and in the future.

Wondering when Google will create the option to play YTM uploaded music as a option to Google Home over the casting from phone.    Loved the option of having my music available Google Home without having to find my phone.
Humm is there Google addin/plugins for Google Home.
