Reminder: The standalone YouTube Gaming App and site will sunset after May 30, 2019

Question

Back in September, we launched a new home for Gaming on main YouTube: youtube.com/gaming – allowing everyone to search for and experience the gaming content they love without navigating to a separate site or different mobile app.
We also shared our plans to sunset the standalone YouTube Gaming app and focus all of our efforts on YouTube. That time is approaching, so we’re sharing key dates and info so you know what to expect:
April 30, 2019
The standalone YouTube Gaming app was removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. If you’ve already downloaded the app, you can continue to use it as normal, though we recommend exploring the new Gaming destination on YouTube if you haven’t already!
May 14, 2019
Subscriptions from the YouTube gaming app will automatically move over to YouTube. If any of your subscriptions have moved over, you’ll see a message directly in your Subscriptions tab (on both mobile and desktop) letting you know about the update with a link to learn more. If you’d like to update the channels you’re subscribed to in YouTube, visit your Subscriptions Manager at any time.

The standalone YouTube Gaming app will be fully shut down and you’ll no longer be able to use the app. Instead, you’ll be directed to use the new Gaming destination on YouTube. The old website gaming.youtube.com will also shut down on this date, and any links will point to Gaming’s new home on YouTube.
If you’re a channel member on the YouTube Gaming app, no action needed on your end! If the channel sets up Memberships on YouTube, your membership will transfer over. If the channel no longer has Memberships enabled, we will automatically cancel your membership and refund your last month’s membership fee.
What this means for Gaming Creators: If you previously had access to Channel Memberships in the Gaming app, you’ve already received an email confirming your eligibility on YouTube. Learn more about what you can offer your members and how your viewers experience memberships.
