YouTube watch history makes it easy to find videos you recently watched and improves your video recommendations. You can control your watch history by clearing or pausing your history. Any videos that you watch while history is paused won't show in your history. They also won’t be used to improve your recommendations.
View, clear, or pause watch history (signed in)
Sign in and go to myactivity.google.com to find videos that you've viewed on the YouTube app or website while signed in. It also includes videos you've watched in a YouTube player on other websites while signed in to Google Chrome.
Changes you make to your account watch history will be reflected on all devices you sign in to with this account.
Current computer experience
- Remove a video: To remove a video from your watch history, click Remove
to the right of the video details.
- Clear watch history: To delete your entire history, click Clear all watch history

- Pause watch history: To pause your history, click Pause watch history
. Videos viewed while your watch history is paused will not show up in your watch history or influence your recommendations.
Old computer experience

Clear or pause watch history (signed out)
Even when you're signed out, YouTube improves your recommendations based on the videos you watch on that device. You can clear or pause the history from your device.
Search watch history on a computer
To find videos that you’ve watched before, search your watch history.
- Go to your Watch history.
- At the top right, go to “Search watch history”.
- Enter what you're looking for in the box.
- Click Search

Automatically delete your search and watch history
You can choose to delete your YouTube search and watch history automatically after a certain amount of time.
- On your computer, go to your Google Account.
- On the top left-navigation, click Data & personalization.
- Under "Activity controls," click YouTube History, then click Manage activity.
- At the top right, click More

- Click the button for how long you want to keep your activity
