YouTube watch history makes it easy to find videos that you have recently watched and improves your video recommendations. You can control your watch history by clearing or pausing your history. Any videos that you watch while history is paused won't show in your history. They also won't be used to improve your recommendations.
View, clear or pause watch history (signed in)
Sign in and go to myactivity.google.com to find videos that you've viewed on the YouTube app or website while signed in. It also includes videos that you've watched in a YouTube player on other websites while signed in to Google Chrome.
Changes that you make to your account watch history will be reflected on all devices that you sign in to with this account.
View your watch history
Go to the Library tab and tap History
.
Remove a video from your watch history
Next to the video details in the History page, tap More and select Remove from Watch History
.
Clear or pause your watch history
Tap your profile picture and tap Settings
and scroll to the History and privacy section.
- Select Clear watch history or turn on Pause watch history.
Search your watch history
- Go to the Library tab
.
- Tap History
.
- Enter what you're looking for in the box at the top of the page labelled Search watch history

View your watch history
Tap the Library tab and tap History
.
- Remove a video: Tap More
next to the video details and select Remove from Watch History.
Clear or pause your watch history
Go to your History page.
- Clear watch history: Tap CLEAR ALL WATCH HISTORY.
- Pause watch history: Tap PAUSE WATCH HISTORY.
View or clear your search history
To view or delete what you've previously searched for on YouTube, go to your search history.
